Scholars and Psychologists agree that neither of these human traits are inherited they are learned.
I would like to assume that the 65% of the American population, mentioned in a previous post, that are “Christians” do not perpetuate these traits. If I am wrong, then maybe we need to reevaluate the foundations of our faith. That being said, if not us as parents, then where is the learning coming from?
My grandchildren are fortunate, and their parents can afford to send them to Christians schools. The only prejudice, if you can call it that, is they know what “sin” is and what the results of a sinful life are. The two oldest will attend Public School this coming year and all will hopefully go on to College. The only possible opportunity for them to acquire any of these traits is through that education, its courses, teachers, and attitudes. If Christian culture, traditions, values, and morals are ever to return then we need to think of ways the Christian Society, as a whole not a denomination, can affect our educational process.
If you have been watching the protests, following the George Floyd incident, then you have seen the words “Social Justice”. What I have not seen is what exactly would “Social Justice” include. So, I looked the term up, here is what I found.
According to the Oxford Dictionary social justice means justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. Wikipedia describes social justice as a concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society, as measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities for personal activity, and social privileges.
What exactly does the BLM want when they say they want “social justice”, wealth, opportunities, privileges or do they want officer Derek Chauvin to be charged with a crime and face a jury of his peers, he has and he is.
The term “social justice” implies that “social” society or its organization (government) must deliver “justice” equal administration of the law to everyone that is established under the ‘social contract”.
The “social contract” an implicit agreement among the members of a society to cooperate for social benefits, for example by sacrificing some individual freedom for state protection. Oxford
In a “multi-cultural society” you are not privileged to “social justice” until and unless you agree to the “social contract” everything else is chaos.
The title says it all. Where are the voices of the declining Christian population, that according to Pew Research has dropped from a decade ago of 73% to 65% in 2019? Where are the voices of the Christian congregations, pastors and ministers who prefer feeling good rather that hearing the results of a life of sin and consequent damnation? Even more troubling is the lack of any valid definition of 21st century values, moral, ethics and virtues. Has sin and evil been replaced by tolerant acceptance and political correctness?
In America, the contributions of the Christian Religion to traditions, culture, education, family values and laws are unquestionable. Worldwide, Christianity has survived the destructive efforts of revolution and intolerance. The Frist Amendments rights are inclusive to ALL United State citizen. Christians, therefore, must be allowed to speak their minds without the expectation of reprisal and/or censorship.
PublicVoiceUSA will be a moderated and access controlled platform wherein the Christian voice will be heard.
